Updates on the Israeli war in Gaza: Israelis are reportedly dead after intense fighting

Israeli media has reported that four Israeli soldiers were killed and five wounded in the Shujayea neighbourhood of Gaza City, as Palestinian armed groups say they are engaged in battles with Israeli forces in the area.
Palestinians in Gaza are forced to live in bombed-out buildings or camp next to giant piles of waste, a United Nations spokeswoman said Friday, denouncing the “unbearable” conditions in the territory besieged by Israeli forces and raising fears of disease.
At least five Palestinians, including a girl, were killed in overnight Israeli attacks on two houses in Deir el-Balah.
Gaza’s Civil Defence says three of its medics were killed by Israeli aircraft and 12 others wounded while they carried out rescue efforts in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
At least 37,765 people have been killed and 86,429 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 7. The death toll in Israel from the Hamas-led attacks is estimated at 1,139 with dozens of people still held captive in Gaza.
