Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz will undergo medical examinations on Sunday due to “high temperature and joint pain,” the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
“The medical team has decided to conduct some tests to diagnose the [King’s] health condition and to check on his health,” SPA said in a statement.
The tests will be conducted at the royal clinics at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah. King Salman, 88, was last admitted to hospital in April. He left the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah hours after a routine checkup, SPA reported at the time.
King Salman, the custodian of Islam’s holiest sites, became ruler in 2015.
