Terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir are attacking the Army with weaponry made in China: Sources
Terrorists are using China-made weapons, bodysuit cameras and communication devices in their attacks on the Army in Jammu and Kashmir, sources said. China supplies weapons and drones to the Pakistan army.
China is supplying drones, hand grenades and other weapons to the Pakistan army, which have been used by terrorist groups in the recent attacks, and evidence of that has been found by security forces, sources said.
Three major terror attacks that were carried out this year revealed the nexus.
Terrorists trying to infiltrate into India from Pakistan have been found to be using sniper guns made with Chinese technology against Indian soldiers.
One such attack was carried out in November where a sniper gun was used against an Indian soldier on the Jammu border.
Images released by the terrorist organisation after the three major terror attacks this year were taken from Chinese-made body cameras and were also edited and morphed, sources claimed.
Encrypted messaging devices used by terrorists for communication are also Chinese, intelligence agencies said.
The Pakistani army regularly receives supplies of weapons, cameras, and communication devices from China, but instead of using them, it makes them available to terrorist organisations in POK for infiltrations and terrorist attacks in India.
CHINA’S BID TO GET INDIAN TROOPS DIVERTED
This comes even as China, frustrated by India’s heightened troop presence in Ladakh following the 2020 border stand-off in Galwan, wants to revive terrorist activity in Jammu and Kashmir to divert and pressure the Indian Army into redeploying troops from the Ladakh border back to Kashmir, according to sources.
Sources also informed that with China’s help, Pakistan is strengthening its cyber wing and wants to monitor covertly through Voice Over Internet Protocol. China is also funding the establishment of a separate information security lab for Pakistan for cyber warfare.
In recent months, China has been continuously supplying Pakistan with modern and high-tech weapons, which are often used by Jaish and Lashkar terrorists to target security forces in Kashmir via the Pakistani army.
However, the Indian security system has consistently thwarted China’s attempts over the past two years, giving a befitting reply to Pakistan and China on both the Jammu and Ladakh fronts.
In the latest terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, four soldiers were killed and two injured after heavily armed terrorists ambushed two Army vehicles in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Thursday.
In view of the terror attack, the Army is set to bring in more troops into Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch-Rajouri sector to address terrorist activities, according to sources. There is a plan to strengthen the counter-terrorist grid in the area by increasing troop strength, sources added.
