According to Chugh, Pakistan has always shielded most wanted terrorists who threaten India’s security and independence.

He said that the nomination of Mohammad Yasin Malik’s wife to a ministerial position in the caretaker administration headed by Anwar ul Haq was further evidence that Pakistan was a safe haven for terrorists.

While her husband, a notorious terrorist who was engaged in the killing of security forces personnel, Kashmiri Pandits, and civilians, is serving a life term in New Delhi’s Tihar prison, Malik’s widow has been spreading bogus allegations about India and her Army, he said.

Instead of restraining forces hostile to peace, Pakistan keeps taking steps that hurt India’s national interests. To prevent Pakistan from providing safe haven to terrorists, we call on international authorities to take note of this situation, Chugh remarked.

Mushal, along with the other 18 members of Pakistan’s temporary government, recently took an oath of office. Mushal will not be a full-fledged minister, but rather a special counselor on human rights matters to Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar. This is because of her mixed nationality.
