ISIL terrorist plans in Pakistan are disrupted
The security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan are on high alert as the nation celebrates Eid al-Adha in order to stop any terrorist attacks in several cities, including Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi, and Quetta.
A bombing during Eid al-Adha rites and public gatherings was among the large-scale sabotage activities that numerous ISIL members were preparing, according to a statement from Pakistan’s National Counter Terrorism Authority.
Nine terrorists, among them a woman, who planned to attack people during Eid al-Adha celebrations were detained, and their scheme to carry out a significant terrorist attack was thwarted.
The second of Islam’s two major festivals, Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is also its greatest celebration.
A key ISIL ringleader dubbed “Shafiullah” was murdered during an intelligence operation in the Bajaur area, security authorities in northwest Pakistan reported media reports.
