In a meeting on Monday with Pakistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan, Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani, Minister Nadim stressed the importance of mutual respect and the need for the two nations to forge closer connections. Minister Nadim said that “no one would be allowed to criticize the Afghan culture and lifestyle” in reference to the Taliban’s shift in policy.

The Taliban are steadfastly devoted to enforcing Islamic Sharia law, he said, according to the official news service Bakhtar.

The United Nations and Western nations are the major targets of the Taliban minister’s scathing accusations since they have repeatedly demanded that the Taliban respect human rights, especially Afghan women’s rights to employment and education. The Taliban, however, must carry out their own aims and plans.

These demands, according to Nadim, interfere with Afghanistan’s internal affairs. He said that Afghans live in a traditional society and that Taliban policies safeguard the people’s values and customs, pointing to the so-called restrictive practices towards women.

Regardless of their divergent political stances, Russia, China, and Western nations have consistently urged the Taliban-run government to change its attitudes toward Afghan women and children.

In addition, the Taliban government was pushed by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to let women to resume their education and employment. A high-level team from the OIC traveled to Kabul a few months ago to speak with the Taliban leaders about this issue.

The minister of the Taliban said that certain countries and foreign groups supported the former administration and human rights improperly and that they wanted to “interfere in Afghanistan’s internal affairs under various pretexts of human rights.”
