There seems to be more trouble for Israel in the Middle East as the country struggles through turbulent times. The chief of the Palestinian militant group, Hamas, is set to meet Saudi Arabian officials in Jeddah, in the first such move in a decade. The two parties will reportedly discuss the renewal of diplomatic ties, which have been frosty since 2007. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is also set to visit Saudi Arabia on April 17 for talks with Saudi King Salman and the Crown Prince. Experts say the revival of ties between Saudi Arabia and Hamas come as a blow to US and Israeli efforts to counter Iranian influence in the Middle East.
