In the Pakistan-Iran border assault, four troops died.
Contact with the Iranian side is being made, according to the ISPR, for effective action against terrorists.
In the Jalgai Sector of the Kech district, a gang of terrorists operating from the Iranian side ambushed a regular border patrol of security personnel manning the Pakistan-Iran border, leading to the embrace of martyrdom by four Pakistan Army troops on Saturday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) named the deceased troops as Naik Shair Ahmed, Lance Naik Muhammad Asghar Ali, Sepoy Muhammad Irfanullah, and Sepoy Abdur Rasheed. All four soldiers suffered life-threatening injuries before choosing to become martyrs.
The 37-year-old Kohlu district resident Naik Ahmed was killed fighting terrorists on the country’s land, leaving behind a wife, three kids, and two daughters.
A native of Kot Addu in the Muzaffargarh district, Lance Naik Ali, 34, is survived by his wife and five boys.
Originally from the Dera Ghazi Khan area, Sepoy Irfanullah, 22, leaves behind a widow and a daughter in his grieving family.
From the Sohbatpur district, Sepoy Rasheed, 24, left behind a grieving father.
According to the military media wing, “necessary contact is being made with Iran for effective action against terrorists, so that such incidents of terrorism can be prevented in the future.”
The ISPR further said that Pakistan responded strongly to this barbaric act of terrorism.
