Security staff at Hindu temple in Pakistan stops devotees from performing rituals

In Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the security staff of an ancient Shiva temple have been accused of stopping devotees from performing religious rituals.
Two members of the Hindu community have filed a complaint against the security staff of the temple for not allowing the worshippers to carry out religious rituals.
Sham Lal and Sajin Lal on Saturday had filed the complaint against the security staff of the temple in Mansehra district’s in Gandhian area.
In their complaint, Sham and Sajin said, “stopping the worshippers from religious rituals in mandir (temple) is against the law of the land”. They had urged Deputy Inspector General of Police, Hazara division to intervene in the matter and resolve the issue so that devotees can carry out religious rituals in the temple.
Senator Gurdeep Singh of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party (PTI), member of provisional assembly Ravi Kumar and SHO of Baffa Police Station have been made party in the complaint.
