In an all-party video conference on Kashmir held in June, critics of Pakistani way of dealing with Kashmir were quickly removed from the webinar as soon as they began speaking.
In the web conference, people from all walks of life were invited, however, people who are known to criticize Pakistan’s position on Kashmir were barred from participating in it. Also, those who did start to discuss Pakistani propaganda were abruptly removed.
National Equity Party JKGBL, despite being the only party present in every area of Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan was not even invited to participate in the conference.
“Due to the presence of our party in Kashmir, we have the right to be invited to any conference based on Jammu and Kashmir,” said National Equity Party JKGBL chairman Prof. Sajjad Raja.
Similarly, Iskander Sahib, a writer and a storyteller, was first allowed to attend the conference but as soon as he started speaking about “Pakistani propaganda”, the Pakistani host swiftly removed him from the webinar.
The experience of these two prominent personalities goes on to show that this conference was a propaganda carried out by the Pakistani establishment with the aim of defaming India in the world with zero interest in Kashmir issue.
