Pakistan has been in a tense situation with its neighbor Afghanistan, following a series of attacks on security personnel by militants on its territory that it blamed on the ruling Taliban.
On Sunday, Pakistan launched a series of air strikes on targets in Afghanistan. The Taliban, who have denied any involvement in militant attacks on its southern neighbor, on Thursday attacked Pakistani forces claiming to have killed and captured dozens.
