The recent brutal killing of five abducted Bugti tribesmen by the Punjab police in Rajanpur, some 400 km from Lahore saw a protest by the Baloch Republican Party (BRP) in Germany’s Hannover.
The rally and protests were organized by the BRP Germany Chapter to highlight crimes against the people of Balochistan by Pakistani authorities. They also launched a social media campaign titled #justiceforbalochpeople.
Jawad Baloch, BRP Germany President has appealed to the Human rights institutions to take notice of the killing of abducted tribal Baloch people.
The activists said that the victims were first abducted from different places and then a fake encounter was orchestrated in Rajanpur on July 31 killing all abducted people.
They were identified as Ghulam Hussain Bugti, Ramzan Bugti, Master Ali Bugti and two others.
The Punjab police claimed that they belonged to the outlawed Balochistan Republic Army (BLA).
The enforced disappearance in the Balochistan province has seen a large number of Baloch people, including political activists, journalists and other intellectuals.
The Baloch activists claim that the secret agencies, the ISI and MI, have been abducting many of the tribal Baloch people and are languishing in isolated detention centers. The Baloch political parties also claim that the security forces kill many of them and throw their mutilated bodies in isolated places.
