Balochi blocked the highway over arrest of two women

Gwadar: Two women were arrested in balochistan, in protest of which people blocked the highway between Turbat and Hoshab.

The protesters alleged that the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel forced their way into a house and took away two women, alleging that one of them was plotting an attack on a vehicle carrying “some foreigners” on CPEC Highway.

Gulzar Dost, convener of Turbat Civil Society, however, rejected the CTD claim.

A number of people took to the streets in Hoshab and later staged a sit-in on the highway, suspending traffic between Turbat and Hoshab for hours. The protesters carried placards and banners inscribed with their demands and anti-government slogans.
